Itinerary

Mindelo pick up. Option 1:We will pick you up at your accommodation in Mindelo (about 5 minutes before our excursion) Let us know your pick up location?Option 2: We will meet you in front of the Cultural Center of Mindelo at 09:00 - located next to Nautilus restaurant

Fortim do Rei. Have an overview of the city of Mindelo with fantastic views of the cityscape; learn about the history of the Island.

Praca Nova. Visit the beautiful town square with lots of character and learn of the importance of this historical park

Cultural Center. An active center with displays of the current art exhibition, hosting many events on the Island.

Replica of Belem Tower. Passing by the replica of the Belem Tower, inside is the Ocean Museum (entrance is not included)

Fish Market. Witness the daily lifestyle of life on the Island of São Vicente with a visit to the local markets

African Market. Witness the daily lifestyle of life on the Island of São Vicente with a visit to the local markets

Municipal Market. Witness the daily lifestyle of life on the Island of São Vicente with a visit to the local markets

Mindelo. End of City walk - this is a hop on, hop off excursion

Most of our travel will be by walking, please wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes, sun protection, and bring a bottle of water. Museum entrance fees can be paid in cash, euros or escudos, no cards. Bottle of water and sun protection

Enjoy the architectural style of our colorful buildings, both historical and new. Travel along Avenida Marginal to Praia d Bote, Diogo Afonso, Belem Tower; visit the Fish Market, and African Market, then take a stroll on to Church Square where our first community was established. A visit to our Municipal Market is a must! Here, we will find an array of colorful fruits, vegetables, natural teas and handicrafts. Walk our famous Rua Lisboa (the heartbeat of the city) and its barefoot ‘Walk of Fame’ representing the many famous artists, musicians, poets, and writers of Cabo Verde. Stop at the home of Cesária Évora, our Queen of Morna, and famous ‘Barefoot Diva’.
