Full description

This is undoubtedly one of the best-unknown trails to do in Santo Antão. After being collected from your accommodation, start this amazing trail from the small village of Pinhao located 600 meters above sea level. During the walk, cross small streams and hills with peaceful settlements along the green valleys, offering stunning views of the coast. Enjoy unique and singular landscapes, full of green mountains with typical houses made of stone and straw. In ​​Lombo Branco village, have the opportunity to see local farmers with domestic animals such as cows, goats, horses, donkeys, etc., endemic plants and a variety of small and medium sized of tropical birds. Move on to Sinagoga, an extinct Jewish Community who chose to live in Santo Antão after being expelled from Portugal. Next, reach the natural swimming pool of Sinagoga and if the weather permits, enjoy a dip into the clear water. The tour concludes with drop off at your accommodation.
