Full description

This is the full desert evening, built around an hour on a quad bike. You are collected from central Dubai in the early afternoon and driven out to the dunes, where a safety briefing precedes sixty minutes of open dune riding on an automatic quad - no experience required, helmets provided, and single or double seats available. Once the riding is done the afternoon slows down at the desert camp: camel riding, sandboarding and henna are there if you want them, and as the light goes the evening programme brings a belly dancing show, a tanoura performance and a fire show. Dinner is a BBQ buffet served at the camp, with water and soft drinks included. The whole thing runs about five hours from pickup to drop-off, and you are returned to the same Dubai address you were collected from.

Itinerary

Pickup and the drive to the desert camp. Pickup is between 13:30 and 14:00 from Dubai city addresses, in a shared air-conditioned van, and drop-off is at the same place. The drive out to the desert camp takes around 45 minutes.

Quad bike ride across the dunes. At the camp you are fitted with a helmet and given a safety briefing before taking a quad bike out onto the dunes. The ride included with this booking is a 60-minute dune drive. Both single and double machines are available, and optional extras on site include camel riding, sandboarding and henna.

BBQ dinner, belly dance and tanoura show. The evening at camp includes a barbecue buffet with vegetarian options and unlimited soft drinks, water and tea, followed by belly dance, tanoura and fire performances around the central stage. Henna painting and shisha are available before the transfer back to Dubai.

Pickup is from central Dubai between 13:30 and 14:00, and you are returned to the same address.Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting sandy, and bring a light layer for after sunset.Quads are automatic and no licence is required, but drivers should be confident; children ride as passengers only.Camel riding, sandboarding and henna at the camp are optional extras rather than fixed parts of the programme.Vegetarian options are available at the BBQ - tell us of any dietary requirement when you book.The dune route is not suitable for anyone pregnant or with back or neck conditions.
