Full description

Flyboarding is the closest most people will come to hovering, and thirty minutes is exactly the right amount of it. A jet-propelled board, fed by a hose from a watercraft below, lifts you up to around six metres above the water. Once you find your balance - which usually takes a few minutes rather than the whole session - you can hold a hover, turn on the spot, and dive into the water like a dolphin on purpose rather than by accident. A certified instructor controls the throttle throughout and coaches you from the water, so the learning curve is far shorter than it looks from the beach. Life jacket, helmet and all safety equipment are provided, no previous experience is needed, and most people are flying inside their first ten minutes. Allow about ninety minutes in total for the briefing, kitting up and your time on the water.

Itinerary

Flyboarding session from JBR Beach. Meet your certified instructor on the sand at JBR Beach, fit your life jacket and helmet and take the briefing. You are then strapped onto the flyboard, which is fed by a hose from a watercraft below. The instructor controls the throttle and coaches you from the water while you find your balance - most people are hovering within ten minutes and can hold a hover, turn and dive by the end. Thirty minutes on the board, about ninety minutes in total.

The session runs from JBR Beach, on the sand at The Beach at JBR, The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence. Arrive 15 minutes before your slot for the safety briefing and to be fitted with equipment.Thirty minutes are spent on the board; allow about ninety minutes in total for the briefing, kitting up and your time on the water.Wear swimwear and bring a towel and a change of clothes.You must be able to swim and be reasonably fit - the board is controlled through your legs and core.The minimum age is 18. Weight limits also apply for safety - contact us before booking if you are unsure whether someone qualifies.Sessions may be rescheduled if wind or water conditions are unsafe.Not suitable for anyone pregnant or with back, knee or shoulder injuries.
