This majestic masterpiece, sculpted over 2.5 million years ago by the cataclysmic eruption and graceful collapse of a colossal volcano, now stands as the world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. Imagine a volcano once as commanding as Mount Kilimanjaro, soaring 5,800 meters into the heavens, now reimagined as an opulent basin brimming with vibrant life. Spanning an impressive 260 square kilometers and descending 610 meters into the earth, the Ngorongoro Crater is a sanctuary of breathtaking biodiversity, where Africa’s most iconic wildlife flourishes in a timeless, self-sustaining Eden. Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara. Depart from Moshi and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and vast elephant herds. Enjoy an afternoon game drive followed by dinner at your lodge.

Day 2: Journey to the Endless Plains of Serengeti. After breakfast, drive towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Begin game viewing upon arrival in the central Serengeti.

Day 3: Exploring Central Serengeti (Seronera). Spend a full day exploring the Seronera Valley, a fantastic area for spotting big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the wild.

Day 4: Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Look out for wildlife along the way as you transition to the crater rim for the night.

Day 5: Crater Floor Tour and Return to Moshi. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular half-day game drive. Spot the rare black rhino before ascending and driving back to Moshi where the tour ends.

This is a multi-day wildlife safari covering Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Lake Manyara National Park.Game drives take place on uneven terrain and long-distance travel is involved. A reasonable level of comfort with road travel is recommended.Infants are allowed but must sit on a guardian’s lap during game drives.
