Full Night Magic of the Northern Lights in Tromso

Join us for an amazing trip to see the Northern Lights! Our small-group minibus tour is limited to just 16 people so you will not feel crowded. Using a minibus allows us to access more remote locations, increasing chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

You will travel on a comfortable, modern minibus. When you arrive, our friendly guide will check you in and give you a quick introduction about the adventure ahead. 

The route we take will depend on the weather forecast and lights activity. While sometimes we have travel close to Finish border, which is about 210km one way, we focus mainly on  nearby coastal areas.

If the weather is nice, we will stop for a bonfire, where you can enjoy warm drinks and light snacks. We advice everyone to dress warmly, including winter clothes, warm shoes, wool socks, gloves, and thick hats. Temperatures can drop from 5°C to as low as -30°C. It is also a good idea to eat a meal before the tour, as starting the journey on an empty stomach is not ideal.

This tour is not suitable for children under 12. There are no toilets in the minibus, but we will make stops whenever we can. The length of the tour depends on the weather conditions and the light activity.

On the way back, we will drop off guests who live within 5 km of the Magic Ice Bar.

If we have a great show, we will share pictures with you within 2 days after the tour.

While we do our best to find the Northern Lights, we cannot promise that you will see them since they are a natural phenomenon. If the weather conditions don’t allow us to see them, it won’t be a reason for a refund. We recommend booking multiple tours for a better chance to experience the Aurora.

We drive wherever the Northern Lights are to be located and we strive to find places where the northern lights are strong and clear, and with the help of both long experience and technology, the chances of finding the northern lights at their brightest, are increased.

Our goal is to find the northern lights, therefor we travel all over Tromsø and also sometimes Finland chasing it. If the northern lights dosnt appear rigth away we we will make stops at certain landmarks to take photos, experience the wonderful nature, and sometimes we are lucky and can stop nearby reindeers.

When the conditions dictate it and we have found the best place to enjoy the northern lights, we have a longer stop where we make a fire and serve some hot/cold drinks and some snacks.
