You can expect an authentic Roman gastronomic journey that will make you fall in love with the flavor of Italian cuisine if you choose this experience. We decided on the gastronomic sites for their unique dishes and wines and their incredible stories about the city's history and mesmerizing beauty.
Your tour guide will take you through two famous neighborhoods in the historic center: Trastevere and Campo de' Fiori. On Campo de' Fiori, you'll start with tasting a variety of cold snacks and cheeses (in the morning) or a special dish of fried cod (in the evening), accompanied by anecdotes and a glass of wine.
To get to the best gastronomic spots, we'll walk through the historic center's narrow streets: Piazza Farnese with its twin fountains, Campo de Fiori, known for its impressive market, Piazza Trilussa just after the footbridge, and Santa Maria in Trastevere, the area's very core.
You will eat in the exact location where the famous Italian painter Raffaello went with his lover, and we will sample two must-try Roman pasta dishes: Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe.
The tour is still on — it's time to try a street food icon like Supplì! Then you'll visit "King Porchetta" to taste the famous roast pork (in the morning tour) or a meat dish whose recipe dates back to Julius Caesar in Rome's oldest wine cellar, which contains 5000 bottles (in the evening tour). You will taste the best gelato in Trastevere at the end of this incredible and tasty excursion!
