The guide will begin the tour at the waterfront, taking you through the colonial center, Chinatown and Fort Canning Park. There, you will see the traces of 700 years of the region’s history. You will meet a local, a Singaporean of Chinese descent, whose great-grandfather immigrated from China to start a brand-new life. The man will share with you the personal story of his family, and you will learn a lot about the culture and the development of Singapore within the last 100 years.
