St. Michael Cave being the largest and most elaborate in Gibraltar. The network of tunnels, over 30 miles deep, forms a large "real estate" empire beneath the Rock of Gibraltar. St. Michael's cave showcases various rock formations, including stalagmites and stalactites. Originally a hospital during WWII, it has been converted into a concert hall. Gibraltar is also home to rare Barbary macaques, the only monkeys in Europe, and legend suggests that if the apes leave, so will the British.

Gibraltar Nature Reserve hosts Apes' Den, a protected area covering 40% of the country. Over 200 harmless, mischievous monkeys, some of whom are pickpockets, live up to 25 years. Despite their friendly nature, you should be aware of its potential for mischief and expert pickpockets!

Great Siege Tunnel is constructed forcefully, far down into the rock, this man-made tunnel is an impressive feat of engineering. It is an homage to the commitment and disposition of all the brilliant brains and strong wills involved. The British constructed these tunnels in World War II to protect themselves from the threat posed by France and Spain.
