Your tour will start from Yerevan in a comfortable 4×4 car with your driver-guide. On the way, you can stop in Khor Virap and enjoy the closest and most beautiful view of the biblical Mount Ararat. The trip will continue to the village of Yeghegis, where the 10th-century Smbataberd fortress is located. This impressive fortress is built on a bluff and has a picturesque view of Yeghegis village. A short walk from the fort, you will find the 10th-century Tsakhats Kar Monastery, whose unique khachkars (cross-stones) and animal engravings recall the Armenian architecture of the 10th-13th centuries.
Next, explore the beautiful church of Spitakavor, built in the 13th century by Princes Proshyans. The church is in good condition and of great architectural interest. In addition to its historical, construction, and sculptural features, the church is very close to the hearts of Armenians because one of the outstanding personalities of Armenian history - national hero, ideological leader, military and political figure Garegin Nzhdeh, is buried near the southern wall of the church.
Of course, during your off-road adventure, Armenia's beautiful nature and landscapes will accompany you everywhere you go! Your driver-guide will tell you many interesting facts and stories about the places you visit. The tour will end in the town of Jermuk, where your driver-guide will take you to your hotel.
