The Sadu River is one of the main rivers in the country. It originates on the northern slopes of the Serra de Caldeirao, flows from south to north, and after 175 km wide, flows into the Atlantic Ocean near the city of Setúbal. The river is blocked by dams in several places, mainly for agricultural purposes, to supply water to agricultural crops growing here - rice, corn and other cereals, as well as vegetables and fruits.

The mouth of the Sadо River is famous for the habitat of a rare species of dolphin, which lives exclusively in this area.

Serra da Arrábida (Parque Natural Serra da Arrábida Serra da Arrábida - national natural park)  located 40 kilometers south of Lisbon between the cities of Sesimbra and Setubal. The total area of the park is approximately 11 thousand hectares. Arrábida in Arabic means a place to pray.

Serra da ArrábidaThis stunningly beautiful place will not leave anyone indifferent. Tall hills, similar to mountains, are dressed in dense Mediterranean vegetation, the sun, the proximity of the ocean, elevation changes - all this created a special climate on Arrábida, which is compared with the Adriatic coast.

If you climb to the very top along Serra da Arrabida, winding serpentine roads, breathtaking panoramic views open up. From one coast of the Atlantic Ocean, on the other - a plain, on the horizon of which one can see the outlines of a hill of another reserve - Sintra-Cascais.
