You will meet your guide at the meeting point and start your private walking tour. First, you will stop next to the drinking fountain and spin around the towering tuff masterpieces in bustling Republic Square. To the left of the History Museum building, you will stroll up to Abovyan street and pass by the citys few remaining 19th-century black tuff buildings.
Youll soon reach Charles Aznavour Square, named after the French-Armenian singer commonly known as Paris Frank Sinatra.
The next stop is Northern Avenue. It is the most modern place of Yerevan, connecting its two main areas: Republic Square and Freedom Square. It is filled with many luxury buildings, restaurants, offices and commercial properties.
After, you will turn left on Tumanyan Street to Swan Lake, the location of a 2015 free show by American rapper Kanye West (he surprised the crowd by diving into the lake).
Continuing ahead, youll reach the beating heart of Yerevan, Opera Square. Circling the opera on the left, you will explore the art market, centered on a statue of Armenian painter Martiros Sarian. Then you will cross the roundabout to a row of open-air cafés that lead to a statue of Alexander Tamanyan, Yerevans chief architect. In the Cafesjian Center sculpture garden, you will stop and gander at the disproportionate Roman Warrior and Cat made by Colombias Fernando Botero, the seated human made of Latin letters by Spaniard Jaume Plensa and various hares by British artist Barry Flanagan.
Finally, youll reach the citys most celebrated monument, the 572-step Cascade Complex which holds Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The last stop will be at the top of Cascade complex, where you will enjoy the best view of Yerevan.
