There are many existing caves along the Algarve coast, but Benagil has the most famous caves in the Algarve and probably in Portugal. The famous "Algar de Benagil" is a hole made on top of a cliff and is probably the most photographed and exchanged place around the world.

The tour starts with a short lesson on the beach, and after everyone is equipped, we go down into the water and start practicing the first strokes.Once everyone is comfortable, we will start the tour by exploring the various caves and secret beaches that exist in the Benagil area.The journey includes passing through several sea caves and rocky arches, a stop to rest on beaches accessible only by sea, and finally a mandatory stop at the famous "Algar de Benagil".The only way to get to the Benagil caves is by water, there is no pedestrian access, so do it on a Sup board - one of the best options for visiting them, because with the board you can go inside the cave, walk and access the beaches that are in them own caves, which is otherwise impossible!

If you go to Algar de Benagil, you will have the opportunity to swim on a hidden beach that is not easy to get to... that's what gives all the magic to this place in Algar de Benagil, in the Portuguese Algarve.This hidden beach area is a cave that was created naturally by the erosion of the sea hitting the rocky cliffs over the years. At a glance, you can see how water can constantly overcome the strength of stones.

The result is a kind of beach inside the cave, with only a little sun in the early hours of the day. as the sun sets on the oculus at the top, an oculus that was also created naturally by collision with water. The whim of nature and chance today allow us to enjoy such a beautiful place as this beach, hidden in a natural cave. It seems unbelievable, but it is the pure truth.

The best time to enter the cave beach is undoubtedly from 11 am to around 2 pm. During these hours you can find more natural light inside the cave and when the temperature is better to be able to properly enjoy the environment.
Maybe you want to take good photos, so I advise you to take a camera that is waterproof so that you can take pictures both from inside and outside the sea.
