Leaving Lisbon, we will head to unsteady and dewy Sintra. We will start the day with a visit to the amazing Pena Palace. The history of the palace began in the Middle Ages, when a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Pena was built on a hilltop above Sintra. According to legend, construction was carried out after the appearance of the Virgin Mary, but, unfortunately, it was completely destroyed during the devastating earthquake of 1755. The current palace came into being in 1839, when King Ferdinand II bought the ruins of the Hieronymite monastery of Our Lady of Pena and began to adapt it for use as a residence in accordance with his romantic taste. Today, the palace is one of the main manifestations of 19th century romanticism in the world.

Next, you will explore the unique village of Sintra, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. You will have some free time to explore the village, which the Greeks called "Mountain of the Moon", a real fairy-tale village that is also full of Muslim influences. Here you will have free time for lunch (the cost of lunch is not included). In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste the famous tresseiros (pillows) - light puff pastries that are unwrapped, folded and folded seven times, then filled with a delicious almond-egg-yolk cream and lightly sprinkled with sugar. You can also enjoy Sintra cheesecakes.

Then it will be time to cross the mystical Mount Sintra towards the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see the quaint village of Colares and learn more about the 13th century local wines. You will also see Praia das Masas, a small and popular local beach.Upon reaching the coast, we will make a stop at one of the most picturesque seaside towns, Azenhas do Mar, which offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is time to leave the beautiful and magical Sintra and head towards Cascais, but halfway through we will stop at the wild Cabo da Roca, which is a sheer 150-meter cliff that forms the westernmost point of continental Europe.

We will then visit Cascais, a former fishing village that rose to prominence as a resort for the Portuguese royal family in the late 19th and early 20th century. Today it is a popular holiday destination for both Portuguese and foreign tourists, as well as a village with small museums, picturesque gardens, a glitzy marina and a pedestrianized old town.During our stay here we will try Portugal's most famous ice cream, Santini's Gelati, which will then be considered the best ice cream in the world. This is truly a gift from the gods! Santini's has been beckoning the Portuguese since 1949.Finally, it's time to return to Lisbon, our city, which is always close to the sea.
