Begin this bike excursion at Sorrento and go to Meta di Sorrento, making your way through the little villages. Ride your bike up a hill near a chapel dedicated to "Madonna del Lauro," also known as "Holy Mary of Laurel," witnessing the incredible scenery. The 5-kilometer path with a 4-5% incline goes to the hamlet of Colli di San Pietro, then downhill to highway SS 163 towards the Amalfi Coast. The initial portion of the route has a winding layout and descends in elevation. Because the vista is so stunning, we will make stops to take pictures. The course will take you uphill for about 1.5 kilometers before you reach Positano, but the anticipation of getting to the jewel of the Amalfi Coast will keep you going strong the whole way.
Positano is a place where you can explore at your own pace, taking in beautiful views from different vantage points and wandering through the small streets. After the tour, you will return to Sorrento by traveling along the same path until you reach a crossroads with a highway. You will turn left and continue toward Sant'Angelo Peak, the highest point on the Sorrento Peninsula. Even though it is short, this one will be a challenging road for expert mountain climbers.
Before returning to Sorrento, you will make a quick halt at the peak to enjoy a spectacular view of both the Gulf of Naples and Salerno.
