The Black Fortress, or Sev-Berd, is a Russian Empire-era fortress located in the city of Gyumri, Armenia. It was built in the middle of the 19th century after the end of the Russian-Turkish War of 18281829. Nowadays it is one of the main historical and architectural values of Gyumri.
We will not only have an interesting walk to the frozen waterfall, but according to our company's approach there will be historical and cultural visits as well.
In particular we will visit the beautiful Marmashen, one of our great architectural monuments, and Gyumri. In Gyumri, in addition to a city tour, we will have free time and visit the Black Fortress.
