Please note: Child price is for 3-10 years old. No professional cameras allowed by Chichen Itza authorities. We recommend comfortable shoes and clothes. We also recommend a change of clothes for after your cenote swim. Bring a bathing suit and towel; biodegradable insect repellent; sunglasses; hat.

Start your day with hotel pickup
Expect to be picked up right at your hotel door in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum hotel zones in the early morning. Your climate-controlled vehicle is equipped with hand sanitizers and bottled water for your comfort and safety.
Drive to Chichen Itza
Sit back for a comfortable trip to the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire with your expert guide. Chichén Itzá is located about 125 miles from Cancun, making for a 2.5-hour drive. Along the way, your expert guide will answer any questions you may have about the day ahead, and share interesting stories as you drive along highway 180.
Start with Lunch
Taste cuisine that is unique to the Yucatan with options such as chicken, fish, beef, pork, steamed vegetables, fresh fruit, salads and desserts.
Begin Your Chichen Itza Discovery
On this Chichén Itzá day trip, the majority of your time is spent exploring this ancient site, where you learn about the majestic pyramid and surrounding architecture that has been recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World by UNESCO. Expect even surfaces and easy walking with as many breaks as you need, including free time.
Swim at the Saamal Cenote
In the afternoon, depart Chichén Itzá for about an hour to relax in the pure and refreshing water of this spectacular underground cenote. For those who want to swim, grab a provided (and required) life jacket and make your descent down stone stairs. Alternatively, there is plenty of space on a viewing platform for you to enjoy a waterfall and cool off.
Take a relaxing drive through Valladolid
After a reinvigorating swim, the van will be waiting for you. Finish this incredible experience with a brief visit to the city center of Valladolid, where you can enjoy colonial-style architecture and palm-tree lined avenues and plazas, from the comfort of the air-conditioned vehicle. The San Gervasio Cathedral is a sight to behold.
Depart back to your hotel
After a day learning about the famous Chichén Itzá with stories of the serpent king Kukulkan; swimming in a cenote; and enjoying the tastes and sights of Valladolid, its time to depart back to your hotel in Cancun, Tulum, or Playa del Carmen. Expect to arrive in time for happy hour and dinner, whatever you wish to do in your evening.
