You will begin your tour in the Rialto Market at the San Giacometto Church, which was founded in the fifth century and dates back to the 12th century. It is the oldest church in Venice. After that, we travel across the Grand Canal, Venice's longest and most well-known waterway, on its 16th bridge. It is approximately three and a half kilometers long and divides one half of Venice from the other. After entering a warehouse known as Fondaco dei Tedeschi, you will ascend to the rooftop terrace to take in the breathtaking panorama of Venice. Please let us know about your group size in advance, and we will be happy to reserve access for you at no cost.
After that, you will travel to the neighborhood Marco Polo called home. The following stop will be a handcrafted mask store that creates costumes for the world-famous Venice Carnival. You can sign up for a class to create your mask (40 euros for one hour). After that, you will come to the San Giovanni e Paolo church.
After that, we will proceed to the well-known Libreria Acqua Alta, which has books stacked on shelves all over the place and on a large gondola inside the bookstore. The book selection at Libreria Acqua Alta, a store located in Venice, makes it stand out from other establishments of its kind. At the very end, we will go to Piazza San Marco and the Basilica di San Marco, known for its stunning mosaics.
