Day 1: Hammamet El Djem Matmata Douz
Your Saharan adventure kicks off early in the morning!
Departure from your city: Tunis, Hammamet or Sousse, heading south through contrasting landscapes that already announce the gates of the desert.
First stop in Hammamet for breakfast (not included), then head to El Djem, where you'll visit one of the most impressive Roman amphitheaters in the world the third largest after those in Rome and Capua. A real dive into ancient history!
Continue your journey to Matmata, famous for its troglodyte dwellings carved into the rock and still inhabited by Berber families. You'll visit a typical troglodyte house to discover this ancestral way of life, as well as the mythical Sidi Idriss hotel, an iconic Star Wars filming location. A typical lunch will be served there.
In the early afternoon, head to Douz, nicknamed "the gateway to the desert." Upon arrival, you'll settle into a Saharan camp in the heart of the golden dunes.
Take in a magical sunset over the sand, then hop on a camel ride (optional).
The evening will continue with a Bedouin dinner under the stars, accompanied by traditional music and a demonstration of bread baking in the sand.

Day 2: Douz Chott El Djerid Chebika Kairouan Back to Hammamet
Wake up at sunrise and have breakfast in the camp before heading back to Chott El Djerid, the largest salt lake in Tunisia. This mythical place fascinates with its mirages and changing reflections, offering an almost unreal spectacle.
You'll continue to the Atlas Mountains to discover the oasis of Chebika, a true natural jewel. A walk of about an hour will take you to a waterfall nestled among palm trees a striking contrast between desert and greenery.
Lunch at a local restaurant, then head to Kairouan, the fourth holy city of Islam and a jewel of Tunisian heritage. You'll visit the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafaa, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, and discover the authentic alleys of its medina.
Finally, head back to your departure city: Hammamet.
You'll arrive at your hotel around 6:00 PM, with your heart filled with images and emotions from this timeless Saharan getaway.
