Transfers in Antalya District

14 experiências Turkey

Transfers in the Antalya region are a question of distance rather than comfort. Antalya airport sits apart from the resorts: about forty minutes to Belek, an hour to Kemer, a little over an hour to Side, and two and a half hours to Alanya along the coastal highway. That is why a private car is booked here more often than elsewhere — a shared bus drops the whole load hotel by hotel and the same drive stretches to double. Alanya has its own airport, Gazipaşa, about forty-five minutes from town, and that is the one case where the transfer is short.

The second line serves the Land of Legends park at Belek. Cars run there from Antalya, Side, Kemer and Alanya, waiting through the programme and taking you back; for the evening show that is the only sensible way home, since it finishes around midnight. Separately there is the drive along the D400 coast road from Antalya to Kaş — not a transfer in the strict sense but four hours of switchbacks above the sea with a stop at Kaputaş beach, wedged between cliffs.

Practical notes. The price is per car rather than per person, so four people with luggage beat a taxi. A flight number at booking is essential: the driver tracks delays and adjusts the time, and free waiting after landing runs about an hour. Ask for a child seat in advance. In summer the Antalya-Alanya road jams around Manavgat, so allow an extra half hour for a morning departure.
