Krabi's nature is limestone karsts rising straight out of the water and mangrove bays along the shore. The most popular outing, the four islands with their sandbar, costs 40 dollars by longtail and 46 by speedboat: both run six and a half hours and include snorkelling. Hong Island with its inner lagoon goes for the same 40 dollars by longtail or 53 by speedboat with kayaking in the programme.
Then the longer options begin. The nine-hour run to Phi Phi and Maya Bay at 53 dollars heads into open water, while the sunset four-island cruise with night snorkelling among bioluminescent plankton costs 130. On land there is the jungle: a seven-hour tour with the Emerald Pool and the hot-spring waterfall at 43 dollars, or 73 with the Tiger Cave Temple added. Kayaking in the Ao Thalane mangrove bay runs twice: a four-hour morning trip at 46 dollars and a five-hour sunset one with dinner at 53.
GetExperience lists 10 outdoor programmes in Krabi, from 40 to 130 dollars. Pages state the boat type, the duration — four to nine and a half hours — the stops and the inclusions: gear, lunch, transfer. Pick a date and party size in the calendar, pay online and the voucher lands in your inbox.
