Yacht Cruise to Ancient Side and Green Canyon 2026: GetExperience

Riding in Pamukkale means going up into the air: the white slope and its terraces only read properly from above, while from the ground you see just the nearest basins. The balloon lifts before dawn from a field at the foot of the plateau, gains height with the first light and drifts over the terraces and the ruins of Hierapolis for about an hour. The basket takes a group, and the pilot works with altitude rather than course — the wind sets the direction.

The paraglider works the other way round: launch from the hills above the plateau, a tandem flight with an instructor, and height is lost gradually, so the slope passes the eye from the side rather than from above. Flights run by day, when thermals rise, and one flight means about twenty minutes in the air plus the climb to the launch point and the drive back from the landing field.

Practical notes common to both. Everything depends on wind: in strong gusty conditions departures are cancelled, and in Pamukkale that happens more often than on the coast because the plateau is exposed. Do not schedule a flight for the last day of your trip. At dawn it is cool here even in summer, so bring a jacket. Operators set their own weight and age limits, best confirmed at booking.
