Side keeps two animal programmes, and they are built on opposite principles. The dolphinarium follows the classic pattern: a half-hour show with dolphins and seals, a grandstand, music and a trainer's commentary. There are only a few sessions a day, so confirm the start time in advance and arrive with time to spare. The format is short and slots neatly between the beach and lunch instead of swallowing a whole day like most inland excursions.
Seapark works the other way round: you do not watch from a distance, you get into the water. An aquarium pool lets people swim beside sea creatures, and that is a wholly different experience from a seat in the stands — particularly for a child who has only ever seen fish through glass. The programme needs basic confidence in water; vests are provided for the small ones, but a parent should judge in advance whether their child is ready for it.
Practical notes for both. Hotel transfer is usually part of the ticket, so no separate travel is needed. For Seapark bring swimwear, a towel and a change of underwear; skin burns faster after time in the water, so sun cream matters here too. At the dolphinarium the front rows sit closer to the water and therefore get wetter — if you are carrying a camera or phone, sit higher up. Both venues work year round, though the summer timetable is denser.
