There are many ways to see the best of Lombardy's natural, urban, and architectural heritage. One way to get to know its treasures well is to ride your bike on the trails that go through its valleys and along its beautiful rivers, canals, and lakes. With this tour, immerse yourself fully in its history and outstanding local surroundings!
The Navigli is located in medieval Milan. Historically, the whole city was connected by canals, akin to Venice. Most channels are already gone, but the Navigli area remains a canal-based enclave. The principal canals are the Naviglio Pavese and the Naviglio Grande. The bridges of the Naviglio Grande welcome tourists at dusk with a spectacular vista.
This cycling route from Naviglio Pavese to Naviglio Grande includes a refreshing break at a traditional Lombard trattoria. Beginning with Naviglio Pavese and its dams, we will travel over quiet rural roads past rice and maize fields, cow ranches, and little ponds. On the way, there will be a refreshing stop at a traditional Lombard trattoria to sample local delicacies like salami with a glass of local wine. There is also vegetarian cuisine available. Then we'll take the historical way to the Naviglio Grande. This trip combines the finest of both Milanese Navigli into one agenda!
