The temple is called the Sad Kayangan Temple, which is believed by Hindus to be a buffer from the 9 winds. It is located at the southwest tip of the island of Bali on a steep and high rock platform jutting into the sea. The temple is built on the edge of a 70-meter high cliff projected into the sea. We'll drive to Uluwatu Temple when the sun is high in the sky: it's located on the edge of a cliff, soaking up the strong atmosphere around it - you'll feel it when you get there. Explore the beautiful temple area, take your time before heading to the open sea front amphitheater. You may want to get there earlier than the crowds to get a comfortable seat. While the professional surfers go to Uluwatu because of its bare walls of water, we are here for another element: fire. A fiery sunset - a fire seen from the cliffs of the temple, and a fire that burns Hanuman, the devotion of the god Rama from the Hindu Ramayana.
