Full-day Countryside Tour to Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken from Amsterdam, Netherlands

Take our journey to Zaanse Schans if you want a realistic representation of life in Holland in the 17th and 18th centuries! Visit a working industrial windmill and the woodworking workshop while taking in the pure air of the Dutch countryside. You may find authentic cottages, windmills, a pewter factory, a cheese factory, and various handicraft shops in this area. Every detail reflects the Zaanse style. We'll travel across the countryside to the farming community of Katwoude to visit a cheese farm, the fishing community of Volendam, and the ferry-accessible former island of Marken. We'll even pause to have a delicious Dutch lunch. On our way back, we will stop by the small town of Broek in Waterland to see its unique houses along the canals.
