Antalya airport is the main gateway to the whole coast, and most transfers from here go not into the city but onward to the resorts. Kemer lies about forty-five kilometres west, Belek thirty-five east, Side sixty-five, Alanya more than a hundred and twenty. Journey times follow: roughly forty minutes to Belek, two hours and more to Alanya, and in summer the coastal highway adds another half hour towards evening.
A private transfer differs in that the car comes for you alone: the driver meets you in arrivals with a sign, helps with luggage and drives straight to the hotel without intermediate stops. Shared minibuses cost less but drop off at several hotels in turn, and a run to a distant resort can double in length. For a family with children the difference is tangible: a child seat in a private car is ordered in advance and usually carries no surcharge.
The second group covers trips to specific places instead of the airport: the Land of Legends theme park near Belek, or the coastal D400 road to Kaş with a stop at Kaputaş beach. Formally that is a transfer; in practice it is a day out with a driver. When booking, give the flight number — the driver tracks delays by it and waits. The exact number of bags matters too, since the vehicle class depends on it.
