Manavgat Bazaar and Antalya Markets 2026: GetExperience
Shopping on the Antalya coast barely exists as a trip of its own — it is always part of a route. The classic case is the Manavgat river tour, where the boat passes a waterfall and the town bazaar opens on the bank, with both standing side by side in one day. From Alanya and Belek the same run is offered; only the drive differs.
The second format is the contrast between old and new. There is a route that starts at traditional markets, where you haggle over spices, textiles and leather, and ends in modern shopping centres, where prices are fixed and the air conditioning works. The point is to show both poles in one outing rather than choosing in advance. A sightseeing day around Antalya adds the old town of Kaleiçi, where the shops are built into the streets and buying happens in passing.
Practical notes. Haggling is expected at the bazaars, usually starting around half the quoted price; in malls and shops with price tags it is not. Leather and carpets come with a certificate — ask for it at once, since without one export can raise questions. Mind the weight: spices and ceramics are heavier than they seem at the stall, and the return transfer is usually sized for ordinary luggage.
