Multi-Day Tours in Antalya District
Multi-day trips from the Antalya coast lead to one place — Cappadocia — and are sold almost identically from any resort: from Antalya itself, from Belek, Side, Kemer and Alanya. The reason is distance: it is about seven hundred kilometres to the plateau, and that road does not fit into a single day. The only difference between departure points is what time they collect you; from there the route is shared.
The scheme is the same throughout. Departure in the evening or early morning, the road through Konya with stops, an overnight in a cave hotel among the valleys. The second day begins before dawn: first the balloon flight for those who booked it, then the valleys with churches cut into tuff, an underground city, the pottery workshops of Avanos. The way back takes up almost the whole of the third evening, and the group reaches the coast after dark.
Points to weigh when choosing. The balloon flight is a separate option, cancelled on wind with the money refunded — but the day in the programme is already spoken for. Cappadocia lies above a thousand metres: mornings there are around ten degrees even in July, so a warm jacket is needed regardless of the weather on the beach. The valleys and the underground city hold plenty of uneven stone and low passages; closed shoes only.
