Entertainment in Vietnam in 2026: Concerts, Shows, and Nights Out

Entertainment in Vietnam is mostly staged, and it is staged outdoors or on water. Saigon has the A O Show, an hour of circus, dance and bamboo acrobatics with no spoken story, and water puppetry with a dinner first. Hoi An has two evenings: the Teh Dar show, which turns the highland peoples' music and acrobatics into a one-hour performance, and the riverside spectacle of the Hoi An Memories show, with hundreds of performers on the Hoai River. Da Nang has the Han River at night, and Ba Na Hills adds a late show at the summit. On Phu Quoc the evening is a boat, squid fishing after dark and a barbecue.

Our formats split three ways. Tickets with transfers cover the shows: the Hoi An Memories evening runs from Da Nang and takes about four hours, and the Teh Dar show lasts 60 minutes from 18:00. Dinner cruises, such as the Han River cruise from Da Nang, include a set menu, dance acts and a DJ, and on Fridays to Sundays a fire show at 21:00. And there are park days: Ba Na Hills, VinWonders and the Safari on Phu Quoc, and a sea-walking trip, where you walk on the seabed in a helmet. Most have hotel pick-up, and several can be private.

Practical. The Teh Dar show runs on most days except Monday and Friday, so check before you plan around it. Outdoor evenings suit the dry months; central Vietnam rains from September to November, and on Phu Quoc May to October is wetter. The Ba Na Hills summit is cooler than Da Nang, and its late show is closed on Tuesdays and barred to under-18s. Most shows are free to cancel until the day before, but the Saigon water puppet dinner is non-refundable, and the fire show on the Han River can be cancelled without refund.
