Full description

Pick up and drop off at Porto Grande Exit / Entrance gate (we will meet you by the administrative offices, about a 5 minute walk from ship). We will have a sign with your name, also GREEN LINE TOURS staff ready to assist) We will journey out of the city for a day of sightseeing at some of the most beautiful coastal beaches, learn about our culture visiting our welcoming villages on São Vicente. Marvel at our beautiful contrasting coasts, take time for a swim, dive or moment to put your feet in the sand of our pristine black and white sand beaches, while taking in the coastal breeze and breathtaking views. Experience life on the lived-in Villages of São Vicente, and have the best panoramic view of the Island from the top of Monte Verde, highest point of Sao Vicente.

Itinerary

Pick up at Mindelo Cruise Port. Get picked up from Mindelo Cruise Port for a day of exploring and learning about São Vicente's outskirts

Fishing Village of São Pedro. Visit the lively fishing village of São Pedro, witness and learn about life in the Village

Monte Verde. Monte Verde (774m or 2,539ft) the highest peak in São Vicente, enjoy a cup of tea at the Tea House on the Summit of Monte Verde

Fishing Village of Salamansa. Experience life in the lived in Villages of São Vicente. This village is also home to water sport activities such as kite and windsurfing 

Baia das Gatas. Visit and have a swim or dive into our famous beach, Baía das Gatas (Crater like blue lagoon beach), dive into the ocean from the pier. *Wear or bring your swimwear and towel  if you would like to take a swim; there is no public changing place

Coastal Road Baia to Calhau. Drive on the most beautiful coastal road of North Baia,  marvel at the contrasting long beach coastline with it black volcanic mountains, sweeping white sandiness, and crystal blue ocean.

Calhau. A quiet fishing village, home to Volcano Viana and the twin peaks. 

Agricultural Valley of Calhau. Visit Calhau, an oasis! A charming small farming and fishing village also home of Vulcao Viana, one of the of last extinct volcanos on the Island. In the valley of Calhau we will see traditional farming by hand, animals, water wells, and windmills.

Return to Mindelo. After a fantastic day of exploring;oring the outskirts of Mindelo, return to your accommodation.

Most of our travel will be by vehicle, though we will have time to get out at Baia das Gatas for a walk and swim, wear your bathing suit and bring a towel, if desired (there is no public place to change your clothing). Wear comfortable clothing, shoes, sun protection and bring a bottle of water. Be advised that we will travel up to the summit of Monte Verde with high altitude. We will make a stop for a beverage, local shops and restaurants and accept euros and escudos (local currency), no credit cards. Note: in the case of a small group, the guide may speak more than one language if needed. Swim, wear your bathing suit and bring a towel, if desired (there is no public place to change your clothing). Wear comfortable clothing, shoes, sun protection and bring a bottle of water.
