The Top Sports in Turkey: GetExperience
Sport in Turkey is sold in bundles, and that is the main thing to understand about this section. Alanya dispatches two-, three- and five-in-one combinations: rafting on the Köprülü plus buggy safari, zipline, cabrio safari and canyoning — one day, one transfer, lunch usually in the middle. Side and Belek take the same elements singly or in pairs. Tazı Canyon adds a crossing above the drop to the rafting, and Eagle Canyon runs its own three-part set. All of it operates April to November and depends on the water level in the river.
The air is a separate matter: tandem paragliding at Fethiye above Ölüdeniz, at Pamukkale over the travertines and at Alanya with a licensed pilot, plus paramotor and parasailing at Antalya. Water means a full day of scuba diving at Alanya for beginners and certified divers alike, and swimming in the Seapark pool aquarium at Side. Istanbul is sporting in an urban way: kayaking on the Golden Horn, an hour of canoeing on the Bosphorus, a bicycle circuit of the old town, horses at the waterline, and a private yacht for anyone who wants the water without the crowd rather than the exercise.
Practical notes. Combination tours carry weight and age limits: buggies usually require eighteen at the wheel, rafting takes children from seven with an adult. Paragliding depends on wind more than anything else here — a cancellation moves to the next day, so keep it off your departure date. Wear what you do not mind ruining for rafting and buggies: you come back wet and dusty at once. Diving asks for a health declaration, which is checked on site.
